Now more than ever, the care provided by aged care employees is at the forefront as they relentlessly focus on the wellbeing of residents through this COVID-19 pandemic.

Today is ‘Aged Care Employee Day’ – an opportunity for us all to stop, reflect and celebrate each and every team member involved in the journey of caring for our aged care residents. From the nurses and care workers, to the allied health professionals, cooks and hospitality teams, to the drivers, cleaners and laundry employees, to the volunteers, to the leisure and lifestyle officers and administration teams.

It’s the connections and meaningful relationships these people build that create a place of genuine care, and a real sense of home for residents in Bupa homes, and all over Australia.

We know that not all superheroes wear capes. Our heroes wear masks and gowns, carry brooms and mops, and front up daily to protect the most vulnerable.
