Bupa and Cabrini Health strengthen access and affordability to care
Cabrini Health and Bupa today announced a new hospital agreement, strengthening access to private hospital care and continuing investment in new models of care.
The new agreement means eligible Bupa customers can continue to receive treatment at Cabrini hospitals without additional out-of-pocket costs under their policy, giving patients and their families greater certainty.
This hospital partnership supports innovative models of care including shorter length of stay where clinically appropriate supported by hospital in the home and investment in technology.
The partnership reflected a shared commitment to balance access to high-quality care with the rising cost pressures facing Australia’s health system.
Cabrini Health Chief Executive Sue Williams said: "Partnerships like this are essential to ensuring the community has access to the healthcare services they need.
"Bupa’s leadership in advocating for innovative models of care such as Hospital in the Home services, aligns closely with our own vision. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Bupa and working alongside our medical staff to deliver world-class care for Victorian patients," she said.
Bupa Health Insurance Managing Director Kate Williams said the ongoing partnership put patients first and ensured they have choice in their healthcare.
“We know cost of living pressures are front of mind for Australians, which makes it more important than ever for health insurers and hospitals to work together to keep healthcare affordable,” Ms Williams said.
