UPDATE:  2017 Bupa Blog Award winners announced

After hours of reading, laughing, crying and deliberating, the judges have shortlisted 30 finalists in the annual Bupa Blog Awards.

“The judging has been intense. This year we had a record number of entries, and the calibre of blogs has been outstanding,” says Philippa Crisp, Project Manager of Bupa’s Blog Awards.

The Bupa Blog Awards started in 2013, as a new way to share Bupa’s stories.

Five years on, it’s become one of the most recognised blog award programs, and it has helped Bupa build a powerful network of influencers.

This year there were more than 800 nominations.

“We know that if information is coming from someone who is trusted it’s more likely to be absorbed and acted on,” says Crisp. “Our influencers have permission to speak with authority in areas that we don’t, which can help bring about positive change in people’s lives.”

Bupa’s team of bloggers throws its weight behind a range of campaigns throughout the year, but also contributes articles and videos to the health and care company’s awarded content hub, Health Link.

Their skills and talents are not only valued and put to good use; they’re nurtured as part of Bupa’s exclusive Influencer Program.

“Finalists will have access to free webinars, workshops and insights from those who have successfully navigated the influencer space,” says Crisp. “It’s a great opportunity for up and coming bloggers, but also for Bupa to unearth new talent.”

Kidgredients blogger Kylie Archer, a finalist in the 2016 Bupa Blog Awards, says the experience has helped to build on her following, and her expertise.

I have taken part in so much training off the back of the Blog Awards and learnt many new skills such as food styling, search engine optimisation, Facebook advertising and video.

“But the best part: meeting all the other finalists and finding a supportive tribe that works to help you grow your blog and that has an undercurrent of comradery," Archer says.

Winners from each category (including People’s Choice) will receive $1,000. The People’s Choice winner will take away $2,000 and $3,000 cash goes to our overall winner.
