Bupa Chief People Officer, Kate Dee to leave Bupa
Bupa today announced that APAC Chief People Officer, Kate Dee has made the decision to leave Bupa to take up a new role outside of the organisation.
Bupa APAC CEO Nick Stone said Kate had made a huge contribution to Bupa as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and leading the People team.
“While Kate will be deeply missed after seven years at Bupa, she leaves with our best wishes as she continues to pursue her career ambitions,” Mr Stone said.

“Kate has been instrumental in supporting and leading our people through times of significant change at Bupa and in our sector including the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Mr Stone said Kate’s impact on both her team and our organisation had been extensive and long-lasting, driving a step-up in the performance of our business.
“Kate has nurtured our purpose-driven culture, led advancements in the way we foster our talent and our leadership pipeline, championed the career progression of women, and our leading position in psychological safety.
“On a personal level, Kate is known for her deep care for our people, our customers and our residents, and her passion for our purpose and culture. She leaves a legacy which I know our dedicated team will continue to drive forward during this period of transition for the health sector,” Mr Stone said.
“I know I speak on behalf of our Board, Executive team and our people in thanking Kate for her significant contribution and service to Bupa, and in wishing her all the best for the future,” Mr Stone added.
While we run an internal and external process for a permanent replacement, Jim Nolan will step in as interim Chief People Officer following Kate’s departure. Jim is a highly experienced People executive and has been a member of the APAC People Leadership Team for nearly four years in his current role as People Director Health Insurance & Business Services and previously as People Director BVAC Australia. Prior to Bupa, he has also held leadership roles in organisations including GE, Orica, AMP and Cleanaway.
