Bupa Dental Corporation re-awarded Australian Government health service standard

Summary

Bupa Dental Corporation (BDC) has been re-awarded full accreditation in line with Australia’s National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

As the largest dental network in Australia and New Zealand, the accreditation reflects the continued effort of all Bupa practices to deliver high quality and safe dental care.

Accreditation applies for three years and was awarded by independent assessors Quality Improvement Performance (QIP), an Australian Government-approved agency.

Amy Cockshutt, Interim Director BDC, acknowledged the efforts and continued commitment demonstrated by dental practice teams.

“BDC would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated team members for all you do every day to keep our patients safe and healthy,” said Amy.

Health services, including the provision of dental services, is highly regulated and accreditation against Australia’s NSQHS Standards is one of many safeguards the BDC meets in order to maintain high standards in dentistry.

More than half a million patients place their trust in a BDC practice every year. Founded in 2007 as part of a growing network of experienced clinicians, the business became a part of Bupa in 2013, further assisting Bupa to help people to live longer, healthier, happier lives.
