Bupa kick-starts the careers of Australia’s next generation of dentists

Summary

After 2 years of interrupted face-to-face learning as a result of COVID restrictions, Bupa is giving Australia’s next generation of dentists a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to gain secure employment and work side by side with some of the nation’s most respected dental professionals as part of the 2023 Bupa Dental Care Graduate Program.

Open at practices within Bupa’s Dental Care’s network of 186 practices around Australia, Graduate Program participants will have the benefit of connecting with more than 800 talented dental practitioners from all over Australia and learn from their own dedicated mentor.

Bupa Dental Care Clinical Director, Dr Kavita Lobo, said the program aims to engage dentists in a lifelong, professional relationship, with room to move and grow across our national network.

“There’s no doubt emerging dentists have missed out on in-person teaching as a result of COVID-19 which has the potential to hinder employment prospects and clinical confidence if left too long.

Honing your clinical skills alongside a trusted experienced dentist in facilities with the latest equipment gives you the best chance of kickstarting your career at Bupa and beyond.

As part of a global healthcare company, Bupa Dental Care can also open up the world to new graduates with figures revealing dentists are amongst the world’s most in-demand professions[1].

“There is so much innovation and growth in the dental industry at the moment with the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies revolutionising the way we practice.

“While some graduates find they spend too much time on admin and other non-clinical tasks, we ensure graduates can focus their time on their patients to develop their skills with our support team handling the back-end management,” said Kavita.

Participants in the 12-month Bupa Dental Graduate Program receive remuneration, access to sick leave and annual leave, and a minimum 20 hours of CPD learning through formal education sessions. Graduates will start employment in January 2023.
