Bupa opens first-of-a-kind hybrid store in Wagga Wagga

The much-anticipated Bupa Health Insurance and Bupa Optical & Hearing store in Wagga Wagga officially opened doors for the first time today, welcoming customers into the new format store.

The opening marks Bupa’s development of a hybrid Health Insurance and Optical & Hearing store which will serve as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for local residents and represents the culmination of many months of planning.

Launching the hybrid store in Wagga Wagga highlights Bupa’s commitment to having a strong presence in regional centres.

The new store was officially opened by City of Wagga Wagga Mayor Cr Greg Conkey OAM while a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony and musical performance was delivered by Wiradjuri Elder Auntie Kath Withers and the Wiradjuri Community Connections Aboriginal Corporation.

Bupa Optical & Hearing Director, Guneet Sawhney said the advanced customer experience of the combined store format was a win for convenience.

“Bringing this concept to Wagga Wagga enables us to provide the community with added convenience and an improved level of service and care.

“Delivering a seamless customer experience has been at the heart of the development of this store and our team members have been extremely enthusiastic about a new model of service. We are confident that it will be very popular with the local community,” Guneet said.

Bupa Health Insurance Retail Director, Chris Carroll, said the new store reinforced Bupa’s commitment to the Wagga community.

“We want to make health insurance a more personalised, simple and relevant experience for our customers. This store gives customers more choice in how we can help; for many people the convenience of the internet or the phone will be preferred but for those in Wagga who want to talk to someone in person, we’re here,” Chris said.

The Bupa Health Insurance and Bupa Optical & Hearing store in Wagga Wagga is located at 155 Baylis St, Wagga Wagga.
