Bupa signs on as Carlton Football Club’s member partner

The Carlton Football Club is excited to announce Bupa has signed on as its Member partner for the next three years.

Bupa is one of Australia’s leading health care insurance providers, whose purpose is helping people live, longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world for its members.

Charlie Curnow spoke with Carlton Media to announce Bupa joining the Club as Member partner, and what he is looking forward to in Round 1.

This partnership has been built on Carlton and Bupa’s shared values of diversity, inclusion, sustainability and being member-focused, making Bupa the perfect partner for Carlton's growing membership base.

Carlton’s membership base has grown by more than 63 per cent since 2018. The passion for the Navy Blues in constantly increasing, with the Club having broken the membership record for the past seven consecutive years, achieving a record 88,776 members in 2022.

These numbers have translated into an electric atmosphere at Carlton home games, with the Club ranked number one in the competition for home attendances last year.

For the Club, its members have always been a key priority, so having Bupa, and its strong commitment to its own members, only further strengthens the synergy between both organisations.

The partnership will see Bupa take the front space on the Club’s playing shorts for both the AFL and AFLW teams.

Bupa will also provide value to Carlton’s members with offers throughout the year. 

Carlton CEO Brian Cook said the natural kinship between the Club and Bupa made the decision to partner an easy one. “It is great to have Bupa commit to the Club over the next three years as our member partner,” Cook said.

“Carlton’s connection with its members is as strong and united as ever and seeing Bupa coming on board as a member partner will be an integral part of that moving forward.

“The Carlton family is a unique and passionate community, making Bupa the ideal fit, given their significant work to support more than four million Australians with their health care needs.”
