Celebrate Wear it Purple Day and be the change
Today we will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Wear it Purple day. Wear it Purple was started to raise awareness of the bullying and discrimination faced by LGBTIQ+ young people, and the higher levels of suicide, depression and anxiety they experience as a result.
At Bupa we want all of our people to bring their true selves to work and feel proud to belong. An inclusive and visible culture of support and acceptance is an important way our LGBTIQ+ colleagues know it's safe for them to be their true selves.
Friday is an opportunity for us all to play an active role in creating this inclusive and safe environment. Our Bupa Employee Pride Network will be celebrating the day and encourage everyone to wear a splash of purple to create awareness. This year's theme is 'We are the Change'. How will you be the change?
