Glenn Thompson Managing Director Health Services to leave Bupa

Summary

Bupa today announced that Glenn Thompson, Bupa Managing Director Health Services, has made the decision to leave Bupa and will be finishing in the role on Friday 27 October.

Chief Executive Officer APAC Nick Stone said with Glenn’s departure, Guneet Sawhney, currently Director, Bupa Optical and Hearing, will be appointed to the role of Acting Managing Director, Health Services.

Bupa’s health provisioning business includes Bupa’s Optical & Hearing and Dental businesses, and contracts with the Australian Government where Bupa undertakes immigration health examinations for Australian visa applicants and provides a range of health services to Australian Defence Force members and veterans. Nick Stone will assist Craig Sedgman, Director ADF Health Services and Bupa Medical Visa Services, with these businesses until a permanent appointment to Managing Director Health Services is made.

Guneet has been with Bupa for more than eight years, starting in the Transformation Team and PMO before moving to Health Services. In his most recent role at Bupa, Guneet has successfully grown our Optical and Hearing customers and delivered strong results, building a strong all-in culture aligned to our strategy.

Mr Stone said: “I would like to personally express my gratitude to Glenn for his contribution and for his calm and considered approach in leading our Health Services business.
