Summary

Tennis Australia's biggest ever All Abilities Week, presented by Bupa, will deliver more than 250 ongoing tennis sessions nationwide for people with disability.

All Abilities Week will return from 19 to 25 October 2026, with its largest national program bringing more opportunities for people with disability to experience tennis.

The week will showcase the five established pathways in Australian tennis – wheelchair tennis, blind and low vision tennis, intellectual disability and autism tennis, deaf and hard of hearing tennis, and para-standing tennis.

This year, 65 clubs, coaching businesses, venues, disability hubs and community organisations across the country will deliver inclusive tennis activities, helping more Australians experience the benefits of the sport.

For the first time, five padel venues will also take part, extending the program beyond traditional tennis environments and creating new inclusive participation opportunities through one of Australia’s fastest growing sports.

The expanded program is designed to encourage participation beyond the week itself, with funded organisations required to deliver at least four follow up sessions. This is expected to generate a minimum of 256 ongoing playing sessions nationally, helping participants build their skills, confidence and an ongoing connection with tennis.

Tennis Australia Chief Tennis Officer Tom Larner said the growth of All Abilities Week reflected a commitment to making tennis more accessible.

“It's fantastic to see All Abilities Week grow in its second year, with more clubs, coaches and community organisations getting involved across the country,” Larner said.

“What’s particularly important is that these opportunities don’t end when the week does.

“By supporting clubs to deliver ongoing sessions, we’re helping more people with disability discover tennis, build connections in their local communities and find a pathway to continue playing.”

As presenting partner, Bupa will once again support All Abilities Week, building on its partnership with Tennis Australia and a shared commitment to improving health, wellbeing and inclusion through sport.

Bupa Marketing and Brand General Manager Naomi Driver said we all had a role to play in increasing accessibility to sports.

“All Abilities Week is all about giving people the chance to get on court, sometimes for the very first time, and giving tennis a go,” Driver said.
