New Bupa Prebbleton development begins

Work has begun on the new retirement village and care home development in Prebbleton, Selwyn in Christchurch.

The local Bupa team were joined by project consultants, contractors and local iwi at the development to bless the land before the stage one villa construction begins.

The new development will have 101 villas with a 56 bed care home, 16 serviced apartments. The development, near Stationmasters Way, will create more than 80 jobs and will be delivered in multiple stages until 2023.

Bupa Head of Property Development, Jamie Gibson says Bupa is proud to develop in the Selwyn district, the first for Bupa in the area.

“The eight hectare development will go some way to help meet the increasing demand in the area,” Jamie says.

Stage one will include completion of the community facilities and will be ready for release in November 2020.
