Meet Adi, a Chef at Bupa Aged Care Caulfield in Victoria
Bupa Caulfield chef Adi says working in aged care is very different to working in top restaurants. In his eyes, it's better.
“
My love for cooking started when I moved out of my parents’ home and had to start cooking for myself. Before coming into aged care, I worked with Guy Grossi for a few months and then moved into fine dining at Cicciolina in St Kilda for 5 years.
The way we did things there is different to the way we do them here. Here, I get to check in on the residents after I’ve finished making their meals and get their feedback on what I’ve made for them. It’s that approval that fills my stomach with joy and pride in what I do.
