Summary

For two decades, the Bupa Foundation has been dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing.

For two decades, the Bupa Foundation has been dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing, helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world with over $40 million invested since its inception.

We began as a health research foundation, partnering with experts to address critical health issues including pain management, youth mental health, a healthy start to life, and obesity. Early initiatives helped put these challenges on the national agenda, paved the way for leading research and laid the groundwork for lasting impact.

Over 20 years, our purpose has evolved from advancing clinical and health science research to working in partnership with others to address some of the most pressing health challenges of our time.

Today, as a health promotion charity funded by Bupa, its employees, customers, and community, we focus on building mentally healthy and resilient communities and tackling the vital connection between the health of our planet and its people.

In 2025, we continued to invest in and deliver impactful programs that build mentally healthy and resilient communities and address environmental challenges through initiatives that benefit both the planet and human health.

Through the Bupa Foundation we are privileged to work with amazing organisations like Kids Helpline, Kookaburra Kids, the Black Dog Institute, the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, the Brien Holden Foundation in Australia and New Zealand Landcare.

Additionally, we support grassroots community groups through the Bupa Foundation Community Grants program. This initiative allows us to extend our reach and impact by empowering local communities to implement health and wellbeing projects that address their unique needs.

Through our dedicated work in these areas and our partnerships over 20 years, we have strived to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities whether it be through supporting mental health services, environmental events, empowered local communities or First Nations health programs.

We are proud to share the progress and impact of our initiatives in this report, and we remain committed to our mission of fostering a healthy planet for healthy people.
