Disaster relief extended for flood affected New South Wales

Bupa has extended its disaster relief support to help customers in flood affected areas in New South Wales.

Bupa health insurance customers now have until September 30 to apply to have their premium fees waived while still being able to make full use of their health insurance policy.

Bupa Health Insurance Managing Director Chris Carroll said: “We hope that having their premium fees waived will take some of the stress out of what is another difficult time for people in New South Wales.

It’s devasting to see some of our customers impacted again when they hadn’t even had a chance to fully recover from the summer floods.

Mr Carroll encouraged Bupa customers affected by the floods in NSW to get in touch with the team to have their premiums for hospitals cover and extras cover waived for an addition two months.

Bupa announced its initial disaster relief package in February following the devastating floods across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales with customers now able to apply for the flood relief package through to 30 September 2022.

Mr Carroll said following the latest flooding in New South Wales, the disaster relief was extended for customers who had qualified for the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment.

Bupa has a dedicated email bupafloodrelief@bupa.com.au and a team that responds to the requests. For customers who have restricted internet access you can visit us in store or call Bupa on 134 135.
