Financial help for flood-affected customers in South-East Queensland

Summary

Bupa has today announced financial relief for health insurance customers who have been impacted by the devasting floods in South-East Queensland.

Eligible members who have qualified for the Federal Government Disaster Relief Payment can apply to have their premium fees waived for up to three months while still being able to make full use of their health insurance policy.

Bupa Health Insurance Managing Director Chris Carroll said the financial support would help affected customers focus on their health and wellbeing while rebuilding their homes and communities.

“We know many of our customers are already struggling with cost-of-living pressures and we hope this financial assistance will help take some of their stress away,” Mr Carroll said.

“The floods have caused widespread devastation which will make the recovery for many of our customers even tougher, especially in some areas still recovering from major flooding and weather events.”
