Meet Evelyn Bourke: From milking cows to running Bupa

The Sunday Independent in Ireland featured Bupa group CEO Evelyn Bourke, who provided a fascinating insight into her background and spoke about what Brexit might mean for the company.

Evelyn Bourke is the most powerful and influencial person at Bupa, overseeing around 80 000 employees world wide. Like many of the most successful people, Evelyn started at the bottom and worked her way up.

Milking cows, caring for calves and walking greyhounds as she contributed to her parents' efforts to turn around the ailing family farm in Drom, Co Tipperary, gave Evelyn Bourke an early sense of what it takes to run an enterprise.
