Meet Samjhana, a carer at Bupa Campbelltown, South Australia.

Samjhana shares what she loves about her role as a carer at Bupa Aged Care Campbelltown in South Australia.

I spent my childhood with my grandparents while my parents were working. I felt like they were the ones who took care of me at that time and now I can help someone like my grandpa even though he isn’t with us anymore.

I often feel like I’m caring for him in a way through caring for others and I am passionate about looking after seniors who took care of us when we needed them most.

At Campbelltown, we always celebrate special occasions with the residents and that makes me feel like I’m at home.  I was a nurse in Nepal and I am currently going through registration to be one here in Australia.

The basic care in both roles remains the same but once I’m registered, I’ll have the ability to help more people.
