Meet Sue: an Admin Officer at Erin Park Care Home

Sue O'Malley shares what she loves about working at the Erin Park Care Home in New Zealand.

My journey started 15 years ago when I had a parent who moved into a care home. Back then, I saw things that were lacking and I could see what needed to be improved for a better quality of life.

I’ve had no less than seven family members and friends come through Erin Park Rest Home and Hospital. I do feel like I'm a part of the Erin Park community - it’s my home away from home.

No matter which part of the home and hospital you work in, you can’t do it if you don’t care about people, it’s as simple as that.
