Bupa Mary Shapley Care Home creations

Bupa Mary Shapley Care Home activities time created something fun and useful this week.

The care home has celebrated the colder weather by making little snowmen door stops. The ornaments were made with socks and filled with rice to give them shape. The snowmen shirts were then attached with string.

Bupa Mary Shapley Care Home Activities Coordinator, Kaylene Cornes, says the residents’ were surprised at how well the pieces turned out considering the challenges.

“The gluing of the eyes was the tricky part, but everyone loved their little snowmen and they can now use in their own rooms or give them to their families,” Kaylene says.
